Fibre Engineer

Job Summary

Alexander Fine Design Construction, LLC is seeking a highly skilled Fibre Engineer to join our team. As a Fibre Engineer, you will be responsible for the installation and servicing of FTTP and client CPE across multiple clients.

Key Responsibilities

• Installation of fibre passive as per client specification, ensuring quality is adhered to.
• Use and basic maintenance of a works tablet, fibre splicing machine, power meter, fibre identifier, and micro scope.
• Ensure company policies and procedures are followed.
• Follow the company Incident Reporting procedure, reporting any incidents and accidents immediately.
• Participate in training and upskilling of Fibre Engineers and be a role model for junior staff, setting an example.
• Manage a project that delivers the objectives required to meet or exceed KPI targets.
• Provide direction to your project team, inclusive of sub-contractors.
• Ensure that the project is fully compliant with local authority and for the administration of streetworks legislations.
• Take ownership of the commercial aspects of the contract/project and ensure the project does not go into financial breach.

Requirements

• Demonstrable experience with a proven track record working in a networking engineering environment.
• Advanced knowledge of FTTP and FTTH technologies.
• Certified in SA001, SA002, S8, S7, IPAF 1b, NRSWA unit 2.
• Experience in blown fibre and splicing.
• Experience working on the Openreach network using PIAIOSHH/NEBOSH qualified (desirable).
