Construction Project Manager

Clearfield Recruitment is partnering with a reputable construction company in Essex to find a skilled Pre-Construction Manager. The ideal candidate will have experience in managing pre-construction activities, ensuring smooth project transitions, and providing technical leadership.
Key Responsibilities:- Lead pre-construction activities from project inception to start on-site, ensuring a seamless transition to the delivery team.
- Develop accurate pre-construction programmes and project schedules.
- Engage with subcontractors and suppliers, creating scope packages and conducting pre-tender negotiations.
- Attend client meetings and liaise with stakeholders to ensure clarity of project requirements and objectives.
- Ensure compliance with safety, legal, and environmental regulations.
- Proven experience as a Pre-Construction Manager or in a similar role within the construction industry.
- Strong knowledge of construction processes, design management, and cost control.
- Excellent understanding of tendering procedures, procurement, and contract management.
- Experience in managing multiple projects at the pre-construction stage.
- Strong communication and leadership skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with clients, contractors, and internal teams.
- Commercially astute with experience in budget development and financial forecasting.
- Proficient in project management software and Microsoft Office suite.
