About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and qualified teaching assistant to join our team on a long-term basis. This role will involve supporting the class teacher and working with KS3 and KS4 pupils outside and inside the classroom.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support the class teacher in delivering lessons and managing classroom behavior
  • Work with pupils on a 1:1 and group basis outside the classroom, focusing on Maths and English skills
  • Deliver small group interventions to support pupils' academic progress
  • Assist with behavior management and support pupils with special educational needs
Requirements
  • Current DBS on the update service or willingness to apply for one
  • Level 1, 2 or 3 Teaching Assistant qualification or relevant qualification
  • At least 1 year of experience working in a secondary school
  • Experience running small group interventions outside the classroom
  • Experience supporting pupils with special educational needs
  • Strong relationship building and behavior management skills
  • Knowledge of safeguarding procedures
