Senior Site Manager Job Opportunity

Location: West Cornwall

Contract Type: Long term contract

A well-established regional contractor is seeking an experienced Senior Site Manager to lead a prestigious project in West Cornwall. The complex refurbishment project poses logistical and location-related challenges, requiring a seasoned professional to manage the delivery of scheduled works, ensure compliance with Health & Safety and planning regulations, and maintain a good relationship with the community.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Coordinating and monitoring team and sub-contractor activities.
  2. Ensuring the Health & Safety of all staff, sub-contractors, visitors, and the public.
  3. Producing and maintaining project records in line with procedures and company requirements.
  4. Liaising with clients and reporting progress.
  5. Checking and preparing site reports, designs, and drawings, and updating online document control software where appropriate.
  6. Maintaining quality control checks.
  7. Day-to-day problem solving.

Minimum Requirements:

Candidates should have previous experience of planning and programming complex works, including renovations on listed buildings. Additionally, they should possess:

  1. SMSTS, CSCS, First Aid at Work, and Temporary Works certifications.
  2. Design & Build experience and/or Heritage experience.
  3. Contract knowledge & reporting (NEC, JCT, etc.).
  4. Sound Health & Safety knowledge.
