About the Role

We are seeking a motivated and committed individual to join our team as a Patient Care Assistant in Northamptonshire. As a key member of our Non-Emergency Patient Transport Service, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and transportation services to our patients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Transport patients, healthcare professionals, and escorts to and from specified locations, ensuring their safety and well-being at all times.
  • Ensure patients are collected and returned home without undue delay, adhering to contractual quality requirements.
  • Complete dynamic risk assessments for moving patients safely and advise Control of any perceived problems.
  • Administer oxygen as documented on the original booking, as required to the patient.
  • Maintain the highest standards of conduct, customer care, and courtesy in dealing with patients, while always maintaining their dignity and privacy.
Requirements
  • Full clean manual driving license (including category A or B) with no more than 3 penalty points.
  • Ability to work within a team and/or unsupervised.
  • Knowledge of the Ambulance Service and patient care principles.
