We are seeking an experienced Claims Handler to join our Casualty team at Davies Group. As a Disease Claims Handler, you will be responsible for handling allocated claims from the desk or via referral to a field adjuster for site investigation.
Key Responsibilities- Liaise with Insurers, Policyholders, and Brokers to progress claims efficiently.
- Investigate allocated claims, obtaining necessary evidence and documentation.
- Determine appropriate actions for claim resolution, preparing detailed reports as required.
- Negotiate settlements within agreed authority limits, corresponding with parties professionally.
- Handle cases in accordance with client requirements, maintaining proper reserves through regular review.
- Stay updated on technical changes relevant to the role, participating in training programs as needed.
- Experience handling Disease Claims.
- Knowledge of policy wording, including terms and conditions.
- Understanding of insurance and the insurance market.
- Knowledge of legal principles, regulations, and Acts related to disease claims.
- Ability to value disease claims and apply reserving philosophies.
- Knowledge of Civil Procedure Rules and the Claims Portal.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to work as part of a team and take responsibility for workload.
- Strong IT skills and adaptability.
