Role Overview
This position, referred to internally as Maintenance Electrician, requires hands-on involvement in the upkeep of electrical systems, troubleshooting issues, and executing planned preventive maintenance (PPM). Your technical skills and analytical mindset will be essential in maintaining seamless production processes.
Key Responsibilities
- Install and maintain electrical systems and equipment.
- Utilize a preventative maintenance framework to enhance operational efficiency.
- Conduct fault diagnosis and repairs on electrical machinery.
- Program and troubleshoot PLCs to optimize performance.
- Promote and adhere to safe working practices.
Candidate Profile
The ideal candidate will possess an electrical engineering qualification and relevant experience in a manufacturing environment. A strong commitment to safety protocols, along with excellent teamwork, communication, and problem-solving abilities, is essential. Experience with PLCs and control cabinets is highly valued.
Desirable Qualifications
- 17th/18th edition certification.
- Completion of an apprenticeship.
- HNC or HND qualification.
- Experience in heavy industry manufacturing.
