Job Title: KS1 Teacher

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced KS1 Teacher to join our team at a 2-form entry Primary School in South Bristol.

The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching a class of 30 children, differentiating lessons to meet the needs of all pupils, and working in partnership with a Teaching Assistant to support children with special educational needs.

The ideal candidate will have a strong knowledge of Phonics and the screening test, as well as the ability to assess children's knowledge and development. They will also be confident in planning engaging and exciting activities to attract children to their learning.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Teach a class of 30 children, differentiating lessons to meet the needs of all pupils
  • Work in partnership with a Teaching Assistant to support children with special educational needs
  • Assess children's knowledge and development, using Phonics and the screening test
  • Plan engaging and exciting activities to attract children to their learning
  • Provide a safe and welcoming environment for all children
