Job Overview

**Job Title:** MS Fabric Data Engineer

**Location:** Remote

**Work Arrangement:** Hybrid

**Assignment Duration:** 6 Months

**Rate Payable to Contractors:** £350 per day

Job Purpose

To explore various solution possibilities and their pros and cons, and to deliver use cases within the Analytics platform.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage, analyze, extract, and transform large data sets to inform business decisions.
  • Organize and optimize customer platforms using Microsoft Fabric, in preparation for a platform-wide AI transformation program.
  • Design, develop, and implement advanced analytics capabilities with Microsoft Fabric.
  • Create reusable data pipelines, and ingest, curate, and process data using Azure services.
  • Write design and technical documentation, and communicate effectively with end clients.
  • Collaborate with both internal and external stakeholders to gather requirements, deliver working proof of concepts (POCs), and develop advanced data solutions.
  • Work closely with technical team members across Microsoft Fabric and Azure Services.
Key Skills/Knowledge
  • Expertise in Microsoft Fabric's unified analytics platform, with a strong understanding of One Lake and Fabric Spark.
  • Advanced experience with Azure Integration Services, including Azure Databricks, Data Factory, and API Manager.
  • Proficient in handling and transforming large data sets using T-SQL, SQL, PySpark, or Python.
  • Extensive experience in working with big data.
  • Knowledge of Databricks.
  • Understanding of agile processes, automation tools, and Azure DevOps is a plus.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and a creative approach to tackling challenges.
  • Effective communicator and team player with experience working closely with clients to understand business needs.
Requirements

8-10+ years of relevant project management experience.
