Electrical Design Engineer Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced Electrical Design Engineer to join our team at Gi Group. As an Electrical Design Engineer, you will play a key role in the design of electrical equipment for industrial applications.

About the Role:

  • Collaborate with our design team to create innovative solutions for electrical equipment
  • Review design requirements and produce design calculations and production documentation
  • Utilize AutoCAD to produce electrical wiring diagrams
  • Participate in research, development, and product testing
  • Conduct technical investigations to ensure compliance with industry standards
  • Deliver projects on schedule and within budget
  • Provide technical support to the design team
  • Identify and implement new industry-wide processes within the company

Requirements:

  • Hands-on design experience and a solid grasp of electrical engineering principles
  • Multiple years of electrical design experience, preferably with machinery design
  • Qualified to degree level in electrical engineering
  • Knowledge of IEC 60204 and IEC 61439 standards
  • Experience with CE marking process and DFMEA
