Behaviour Support Assistant Opportunity

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Behaviour Support Assistant to join our team at a renowned Primary Specialist school in Oxford. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work closely with children who have mental health difficulties, display challenging behaviour, and have learning disabilities such as Autism.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Support children with additional learning needs in a 1:1 setting
  • Develop and implement behaviour strategies to promote positive behaviour
  • Work closely with teachers and other support staff to ensure a comprehensive support plan
  • Provide emotional support and guidance to children with mental health difficulties
Requirements:
  • Confident and dedicated Behaviour Support Assistant with a passion for supporting vulnerable young people
  • Excellent behaviour management skills and desirable restraint training
  • Previous experience working with children in any capacity, although a degree is not necessary
