Job Title: 1:1 Special Needs Support Role in Salford

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Special Needs Support Assistant to work one-to-one with a Year 8 student with complex needs in Salford. As a Special Needs Support Assistant, you will provide tailored support to help the student overcome their challenges and achieve their full potential.

About the Role:
  • Provide personalised support to a student with SEN, including autism, sensory impairments, and communication challenges.
  • Assist with personal care and manage any challenging behaviours that may arise due to the student's different perspectives of the world.
  • Address sensory needs and support the use of alternative communication devices and methods, such as PECS, to facilitate effective communication and learning.
Requirements:
  • Eligibility: You must be based in or within commuting distance from Salford.
  • Key Attributes: You should be empathetic, patient, and committed to understanding and supporting the unique needs of students with diverse SEN.
  • Safeguarding Commitment: A strong dedication to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of all students is necessary.
