Job Title: Market Specialist - Rates Derivatives Expert

Join Avature as a Market Specialist - Rates Derivatives Expert and play a vital role in serving as the financial markets and workflow experts at Bloomberg. As a key member of our team, you will collaborate with senior decision makers at client accounts, help close new sale opportunities, and provide critical feedback to shape the development of our product.

About the Role

Our team of market specialists serves as the de facto market and asset class authorities, heightening our user base's experience and impacting sales revenue. We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced professional to join our team and contribute to our success.

Key Responsibilities
  • Apply your strong market experience and technical skills to assist in generating revenue for our terminal business and suite of Enterprise solutions.
  • Act in an advisory capacity to our clients concerning the challenges they face and how they can use our products and technology to address them.
  • Develop an in-depth understanding of the competitor landscape and how it affects both internal and external customers.
  • Influence the direction of Bloomberg products through thought leadership, contribution on innovative ideas, and establishing relationships between Bloomberg's decision makers and our clients.
  • Establish your own roadmap of initiatives that align with product, sales, and goals of the company. Maintain check-in points, and self-report successes and challenges on these strategies.
  • Participate actively in new projects that drive departmental and firm-wide initiatives and goals.
Requirements
  • Extensive experience in interest rate swaps and options ideally gained from working in a trading or structuring role within an interest rate derivative business.
  • Strong knowledge of sell-side and buy-side workflows relating to interest rate derivative trading insights, idea generation, trade execution, and risk management.
  • Experience using the terminal, or similar product, and applicable asset class functionality.
  • The business insight required to use your knowledge and experience to make good judgments and quick decisions to tangibly impact the commercial success of our business.
  • The ability to convey complex ideas and solutions in a simple and concise way to audiences both large and small.
  • A reciprocal and commercial mindset, along with the ability to operate within both departmental and company-wide initiatives, in a non-hierarchical structure without corporate titles.
  • A willingness to travel across EMEA as required to provide clients with a premier service.
  • Business fluency in French.
What We're Looking For
  • Demonstrated sales ability, experience in managing business relationships with customers.
  • A good knowledge of inflation derivatives and experience working on an inflation derivative desk.
  • Experience in the product development process and/or implementing new technology in an institution.
  • Understanding of bank treasury workflows.
  • Experience working cross-functionally with several departments in a large financial institution or experience in advising on risk and regulatory issues.
  • Awareness of Fixed Income Regulations and other Rates-related risk and capital requirements.
  • Fluency in Italian or another European language.
