Teaching Assistant Opportunity

Pink Tile Education Ltd is seeking a dedicated and passionate Teaching Assistant to join our team of supply staff. As a Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting the development of primary-aged and secondary-aged children in our partner schools across Sussex.

About the Role

This is a fantastic opportunity for individuals who are looking to gain experience in education, or for those who are seeking a flexible and rewarding role. As a Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with teachers and other support staff to provide support to children with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) and/or Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support the teacher in the classroom, providing individualized support to children with SEND and/or SEMH needs
  • Assist with lesson planning and preparation, and implement activities and resources as directed by the teacher
  • Provide positive behavioral support and encouragement to children, promoting a safe and inclusive learning environment
  • Communicate effectively with teachers, parents, and other support staff to ensure the best possible outcomes for children
Requirements
  • Natural ability and understanding when working with young people, especially those with SEND
  • Passion for helping and supporting children develop confidence and achievement
  • Flexibility and adaptability, with a willingness to learn and take on new challenges
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with children, teachers, and other support staff
What We Offer

We offer a competitive rate of pay, starting at £84+ per day, depending on the hours of the school looking for supplies. We also offer the opportunity to work with a variety of schools and children, and to develop your skills and experience in a supportive and inclusive environment.

Please note that this is a supply role, and you will be required to work on a flexible and ad-hoc basis. However, we will always do our best to offer you work at every opportunity you have available.
