Ingersoll Rand, through its subsidiary Industrial Blower Services (IBS), is a prominent provider of air and gas movement solutions, boasting over three decades of industry experience. We are seeking a talented Field Service Engineer to enhance our team.

Position Overview:

As a Field Service Engineer at IBS, your primary responsibilities will include the mechanical repair, servicing, installation, and commissioning of rotating machinery. This role will emphasize blower and vacuum pump systems, and candidates with electrical or control systems experience will find additional advantages.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Execute mechanical repairs, servicing, installation, and commissioning of rotating machinery
  • Conduct thorough site assessments for equipment upgrades and maintenance
  • Ensure compliance with environmental, health, and safety regulations
  • Participate in routine maintenance and complex fault diagnosis
  • Act as a representative of the company in discussions with site engineers and management
  • Complete essential documentation, including service reports
  • Promptly report any hazards, accidents, damages, or defects
  • Travel throughout the UK and occasionally work away from home as required

Required Qualifications:

  • Valid, clean Driving Licence
  • Recognized engineering apprenticeship
  • Minimum GCSE qualifications in Maths and English
  • Proficient computer skills, particularly with Microsoft Office
  • Basic electrical or control systems knowledge is beneficial
