General Cover Teacher - Casual Basis

Location: Pleckgate High School, Blackburn
Employer: Teaching Personnel
Start Date: Ongoing, flexible

We are seeking a qualified teacher to join our team on a casual, flexible basis through Teaching Personnel. This is an exciting opportunity to work across a range of subjects and year groups, supporting students' learning when their usual teacher is unavailable.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver pre-prepared lessons across various subjects in line with the school curriculum.
  • Maintain a positive and productive learning environment.
  • Manage classroom behaviour effectively, ensuring students remain engaged and focused.
  • Adapt to different classrooms and year groups, bringing a flexible and proactive approach.

Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
  • Strong classroom management skills and the ability to engage students of all abilities.
  • Flexibility and availability to work on a casual, short-term basis.
  • A passion for education and supporting students in their learning.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
