Job Description:

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Pharmacist to join our team as a Dispensary Pharmacist in a NHS Hospital setting. As a Dispensary Pharmacist, you will be responsible for the clinical screening of prescriptions to ensure the accuracy, legality, safety, and effectiveness of prescribed medication in line with pharmacy SOP.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Clinical Screening: To take professional responsibility for the clinical screening of prescriptions to ensure the accuracy, legality, safety, and effectiveness of prescribed medication in line with pharmacy SOP.
  • Risk Identification: To identify potential risks to patients when screening prescriptions and resolve relevant issues prior to dispensing.
  • Liaison with Healthcare Professionals: To liaise with doctors and nurses to resolve any queries arising from the screening process.
  • Medicine Advice: To provide advice on the safe prescribing and administration of medicines.
  • Stock Management: To participate in stock review, including controlled drugs and ensure medicines are kept safely and securely.

What We Offer:

  • Competitive Hourly Rate: £24 - £28 per hour (dependent on experience).
  • Flexible Working Hours: 3 / 4 / 5 days per week.
  • Ongoing Contract: Possibility to go permanent upon review.
  • Indemnity Insurance: Covered.
  • Notice Period: 1 week.
