As a Retail Security Specialist, you will be responsible for providing security support to our branches across East Anglia. This will involve responding to incidents of theft, robberies, anti-social behaviour, and general security observations, as directed by the Alarm Receiving Centre or Security Management.

You will also be responsible for detaining and deterring offenders, sometimes with the support of colleagues, but typically alone. Additionally, you will investigate thefts, taking witness statements and gathering evidence, including downloading and reviewing CCTV.

Other key responsibilities include providing advice, guidance, and training to colleagues on best practice in dealing with anti-social behaviour, theft, and other security matters. You will also provide welfare support to colleagues following incidents of anti-social behaviour.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need to be flexible, hard-working, and confident. You will also need to be professional and self-motivated, with the ability to work alone on your own initiative and as part of a team.

You will need to be punctual, both in attendance and in delivery of work against timescales. You will also need to react quickly and embrace change, with the ability to communicate effectively and empathise with colleagues and the general public.

Additionally, you will need to hold SIA CCTV and Guarding licences, and have a full UK driving licence. A company vehicle will be provided.
