Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced HGV 1 Driver to join our team at Gi Group. As a key member of our logistics team, you will be responsible for collecting, delivering, and exchanging RO-RO bins, traveling between clients and operational sites.
Main Responsibilities:
- Collect and deliver RO-RO bins, adhering to provided driving routes and schedules.
- Conduct daily vehicle checks and report any defects to the Transport Manager.
- Complete all paperwork accurately and in a timely manner.
- Park vehicles at the end of each day and maintain a clean and tidy cab.
- Establish and maintain regular communication with the Transport Manager, Yard Managers, and Weighbridge Operators at each site.
Requirements:
- Class 1 Driving Licence with a minimum of 2 years of experience.
- Drivers CPC Licence.
- RO-RO (Wagon & Drag) training can be provided.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and effective communication skills, both orally and in writing.
- Excellent phone manner.
