Temporary Position - Class 1 Licence Required

  • Responsible for reporting any incidents or accidents that occur during transit or at the depot.
  • Adheres to driver hours regulations and all applicable road traffic laws.
  • Ensures compliance with health and safety standards.
  • Collaborates closely with the planning and warehouse teams to facilitate efficient loading operations while overseeing all yard activities.
  • Accountable for assigning vehicles according to the schedule based on specific equipment needs.
  • May be required to perform additional tasks as necessary for the effective functioning of the department and site, including the delivery of goods in a professional, cost-effective, and safe manner, while adhering to company protocols and upholding the company’s reputation for quality service.

Candidate Profile:

  • HGV Class 1 License.
  • Capable of working independently, meeting strict deadlines, and delivering interactive training.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Professional demeanor with a focus on credibility.
  • Knowledge of Transport and Health and Safety regulations.
  • Ability to follow instructions effectively.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (demonstrable experience required).
  • High attention to detail is essential.

Shift Requirements:

This position operates on a 5 over 7 shift pattern, primarily consisting of 9-hour shifts with flexible start times, including evening and night shifts.
