Key Responsibilities:
  • Ensure that our residents' care home facilities, public areas, and individual properties are maintained to the highest cleaning standards.
  • Operate vacuum cleaners, floor polishers, and carpet shampooers to maintain a clean and safe environment.
  • Empty bins regularly and sweep, scrub, wax, and polish floors to ensure a clean and hygienic environment.
  • Clean carpets and upholstery, and wash woodwork, windows, door panels, and sills to maintain a high level of cleanliness.
  • Wash, dry, and iron residents' clothing, bedding, and communal laundry, including for our on-site care home residents.
  • Report all safety hazards to management, ensuring Health and Safety standards and COSSH are adhered to at all times.
Requirements:
  • You will have experience in a housekeeping or domestic cleaning role, with a basic understanding of infection control, COSSH, and compliance standards.
  • You will be friendly and approachable, building long-lasting professional relationships with your colleagues, residents, and their families.
  • You will understand the importance of maintaining a safe working environment and have a keen eye for detail, taking pride in your work.
  • You will have strong communication skills, able to work well as part of a team, across functions, and services.
