About the Role:
Thorn Baker Group is seeking a highly skilled Warehouse Supervisor to join our team in Nottingham. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for assisting the Warehouse Manager in the efficient management and control of the warehouse operation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist the Warehouse Manager in the receipt, storage, rotation, and despatch of products to ensure efficient and effective use of warehouse space.
- Take a practical hands-on approach and undertake various warehouse activities, including stock taking and implementing department policies and procedures.
- Assist the management team in sharing ideas to improve operations, recommending, supporting, and implementing policies and procedures for continuous improvement.
- Work with the Warehouse Manager to ensure efficient and effective use of warehouse space, including layout and future capacity requirements.
- Assist with delivery vehicle maintenance related administration, including tachograph administration.
- Liaise with transport companies as required and handle any concerns.
Requirements:
- Maintain professional standards in both personal appearance and behavior.
- Represent the company in a professional and positive manner.
- Provide a clean, tidy, and safe working environment, adhering to Health & Safety procedures, ensuring they are always understood and practiced by the team.
- Ability to help build, lead, and motivate the team to meet objectives and agreed targets.
