Autism Diagnostic Service Professional

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Adult Autism Practitioner to join our team at North West Boroughs Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust. As a key member of our multi-disciplinary team, you will play a vital role in assessing and diagnosing autism in adults.
Main Responsibilities- Assessment and Diagnosis: Conduct comprehensive assessments and diagnoses of autism in adults, utilizing evidence-based tools and techniques.
- Collaboration and Teamwork: Work closely with other healthcare professionals to develop and implement individualized care plans for clients with autism.
- Client-Centered Care: Provide empathetic and person-centered care to clients with autism, addressing their unique needs and goals.
- Professional Development: Participate in ongoing training and professional development to stay up-to-date with best practices in autism diagnosis and treatment.
- Record Keeping and Reporting: Maintain accurate and detailed records of client assessments, diagnoses, and treatment plans, as well as prepare reports for healthcare professionals and stakeholders.
- Professional Qualifications: Possess a relevant professional qualification, such as a nursing or AHP degree, and be registered with the relevant professional body.
- Experience and Skills: Have significant experience working with adults with autism, mental health difficulties, or vulnerable adults, and demonstrate excellent assessment and diagnostic skills.
- Communication and Interpersonal Skills: Possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with clients, families, and healthcare professionals.
- Knowledge and Understanding: Have a thorough understanding of autism, its diagnosis, and treatment, as well as current national policies and initiatives related to autism services.
