In the role of Communications and Marketing Lead for Asia Pacific & Latin America at Compassion in World Farming, you will direct strategic initiatives aimed at abolishing caged systems and advocating for sustainable agricultural practices.
About Us:
Compassion in World Farming International was established in 1967 by Peter Roberts, a British farmer who was alarmed by the rise of intensive factory farming.
Over five decades ago, Peter took a stand against this farming model.During his lifetime, he witnessed the elimination of barren battery cages, veal crates, and gestation crates in the UK, and in Europe, he helped achieve recognition of animals as sentient beings.
As the foremost international charity for farm animal welfare, Compassion in World Farming campaigns to enhance the lives of millions of farm animals through advocacy, legislative lobbying, and constructive engagement with the global food industry.
Our well-established international Food Business program aims to drive transformative change for animal welfare by reducing reliance on animal-sourced foods and promoting regenerative farming practices.
The Food Business team operates across Europe, the US, China, and APAC LATAM, and more broadly through the supply chains of our corporate partners.
About the Role:
As our Communications and Marketing Lead, you will help shape the strategic vision to influence the global food industry.
In this dynamic position, you will lead vibrant marketing and communication strategies across Asia Pacific and Latin America, advocating for the end of caged systems and promoting sustainable farming methodologies.
Your responsibilities will encompass proactive and reactive public relations, content management, event coordination, supplier oversight, and budget management.In your capacity as Communications and Marketing Lead (Asia Pacific & Latin America), you will work closely with the Head of Food Business APAC LATAM and regional teams, ensuring transparency through regular reporting on progress and achievements.
About You:
We are looking for an outstanding candidate for the position of Communications and Marketing Lead (Asia Pacific & Latin America) at CIWF, who possesses a proven track record in developing impactful strategies, particularly in digital and social media.
To excel in this role, you should have prior experience demonstrating proficiency in crafting effective strategies, especially in the realms of digital and social media.
Fluency in English is essential, and proficiency in languages such as Thai or Japanese is advantageous but not mandatory.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills are crucial, along with a solid understanding of budget management and a genuine commitment to farm animal welfare.
