Key Responsibilities
- Foster a culture of ethics and integrity throughout the region by providing training and guidance on critical topics such as anti-corruption and internal controls.
- Act as a subject matter expert in risk and controls, offering insights and strategic direction.
- Build and maintain strong partnerships within the Risk & Controls team and across local markets, collaborating effectively with colleagues and engaging with senior stakeholders.
- Assist in the design and execution of financial, operational, and compliance controls that meet established documentation and evidence standards.
- Develop and implement ongoing quality review and control monitoring programs as a second line of defense.
- Identify and promote opportunities for continuous improvement, leveraging technology to address evolving challenges.
- Communicate updates and changes to policies and control requirements clearly and effectively.
- Provide support and guidance for strategic initiatives that necessitate controls implementation.
- Strategically assess business needs and develop sustainable solutions to enhance the control environment.
- Coordinate audit and compliance efforts with relevant teams, ensuring effective communication with internal and external audit partners.
- Oversee internal control and risk management processes, including business risk assessments and compliance certifications.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
- Minimum of 4 years in risk and controls, compliance, or audit roles.
Required Skills
- Proficient in SOX compliance, IFRS, and PCAOB standards.
- Skilled in evaluating business risks and the effectiveness of internal control systems.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Adaptable and open to taking on new challenges.
- Competent in Excel and other analytical tools.
Preferred Skills
- Proficiency in additional languages is advantageous, given our international operations.
