Experienced Mechanical Project Manager for Waste to Energy Contract

**Job Summary**
Core Group is seeking an experienced Mechanical Project Manager to lead our client's team in Sweden for a minimum of 6 months. This is a fantastic opportunity to work on a high-profile waste to energy contract.
**Key Responsibilities**
- Oversee the pre-construction design process to ensure compliance with specifications and drawings.
- Review and value engineer design drawings to optimize project costs.
- Attend progress and design team meetings to ensure effective communication and project coordination.
- Prepare and monitor contract programs and progress reports to track project milestones.
- Procure plant and materials in line with specifications, drawings, and cost plans.
- Manage subcontractors to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery of services.
- Prepare cost forecasts and record/cost variations to ensure accurate project budgeting.
- Oversee the commissioning process and ensure a smooth handover to the client.
**Requirements**
- Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field such as Building Services Engineering, Construction Management, or HVAC Engineering.
- Master's Degree: A postgraduate qualification in Mechanical Engineering, Project Management, or a related discipline can be advantageous.
- Relevant trade qualifications in mechanical building services with supporting project management background.
- Minimum 5-10 years of experience in mechanical building services, with a substantial part of that time spent in a project management role.
- Experience in managing large-scale projects, with a proven track record of successfully managing complex mechanical services projects in commercial, industrial, or residential settings.
- Good commercial understanding/awareness.
- Ability to create basic programs in Asta/MS Projects.
- BTEC HNC/HND advantageous.
- SMSTS or equivalent.
