About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Principal Town Planner to join our team at Penguin Recruitment. As a key member of our Planning team, you will be responsible for providing expert planning advice and guidance to our clients across the UK.

Key Responsibilities
  • Project Management: Lead and manage planning projects from conception to completion, ensuring timely delivery and high-quality results.
  • Planning Strategy: Develop and implement effective planning strategies to meet client objectives, including site appraisals, community consultation, and planning project management.
  • Technical Expertise: Provide technical expertise and guidance on planning and land use to clients, including leading house builders, developers, land promoters, investment institutions, utility and infrastructure companies, and waste management operators.
  • Team Supervision: Supervise and advise junior team members, providing guidance and support to ensure successful project delivery.
Requirements
  • Chartered Town Planner: Hold a good Town Planning degree or related qualification and be a Chartered Town Planner.
  • Experience: Have experience in preparing planning applications for the public and/or private sector.
  • Skills: Possess excellent analytical and written skills, a strong team working ethic, and IT literacy in Microsoft Office, Excel, and GIS.
  • Driving Licence: Hold a full driving licence.
