Data Architect Opportunity

Harnham - Data & Analytics Recruitment is working with a leading gaming company to find a skilled Data Architect to lead the migration from their on-prem servers to their new cloud data platform.

About the Company

This global business has established itself as a premier provider of sports betting data and technology, renowned for its cutting-edge solutions and personalized approach to customer relationships.

About the Role

As a Data Architect, you will be responsible for growing the data engineering capability, leading the team, architecting the data warehouse, and helping to introduce ML/AI capabilities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Migrate from on-prem to cloud, architecting the new cloud platform
  • Implement streaming technologies in real-time
  • Work closely with analysts and introduce ML capabilities
  • Design and build the team, with a focus on hands-on work and design

Requirements

The successful Data Architect will have:

  • Experience building a data warehouse using Snowflake
  • Good knowledge of cloud environments, ideally in AWS
  • Strong Python skills and experience with Airflow

Desirable Skills

  • Gambling experience or financial/trading experience
  • Mentorship and leadership skills
  • Experience with migration projects
