KPMG Audit Senior Manager - Public Sector

Overview:

We are seeking a seasoned Audit Senior Manager to become a vital part of our Public Sector Audit division at KPMG.

In this role, you will engage with a variety of clients within the UK public sector, including entities such as NHS organizations, Central and Local Government bodies, Charitable organizations, Higher Education Institutions, and Social Housing providers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Overseeing the planning, coordination, and execution of audit engagements
  • Directing and assessing the contributions of junior team members
  • Managing project schedules and supervising audit teams
  • Serving as the primary liaison for audited organizations
  • Cultivating stakeholder relationships to facilitate effective audit processes
  • Ensuring the financial success of audit engagements
  • Identifying and addressing complex audit challenges
  • Conducting performance evaluations for junior staff
Qualifications:

  • Extensive experience in a Senior Audit Manager role within external audit
  • Proficient understanding of IFRS, UK GAAP, and ISAs
  • Background in working with Public Sector organizations
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities
  • Professional qualification from a recognized accounting institution
