Catering Operations Manager

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Catering Manager to join our team at First Military Recruitment Ltd. As a Catering Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of our catering department, ensuring that all food is prepared and served to the highest standards.
Key Responsibilities:- Oversee the preparation, cooking, and serving of food, ensuring that all food safety and hygiene standards are met.
- Manage the cleaning and maintenance of all kitchen and dining areas, ensuring that they are clean and hygienic at all times.
- Conduct regular audits to ensure that all regulatory requirements are met, including HACCP and health and safety standards.
- Develop and implement menus that meet the needs of our clients and customers.
- Manage the catering budget, ensuring that all expenses are within budget.
- Supervise and train catering staff, ensuring that they have the skills and knowledge required to perform their duties.
- Ensure that all food allergen policies and procedures are followed, and that all staff are aware of their responsibilities in this area.
- Monitor and improve the quality of food and service, ensuring that all customers receive a high-quality dining experience.
- Level 3 food safety qualification.
- City & Guilds 7061/2 or NVQ equivalent.
- Management qualification, such as ILM Level 3 Award or ILM NVQ Level 3 Management.
- GCSE grade A-C English, Maths, or Functional Skills L2 (or prepared to work towards).
- Experience in catering for large numbers.
- Ability to identify and understand customer requirements.
- Ability to actively seek customer feedback and use it to improve the customer experience.
The successful candidate will be working in a fast-paced environment, managing a team of catering staff and ensuring that all food is prepared and served to the highest standards. The role will require strong communication and leadership skills, as well as the ability to work under pressure.
