About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Data Engineer to join our team at Rightmove. As a Data Engineer, you will play a critical role in designing, building, and maintaining our data infrastructure to support business growth and innovation.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and implement data pipelines to extract, transform, and load data from various sources into our data warehouse.
  • Develop and maintain high-quality data assets using DBT in Big Query, ensuring data accuracy, completeness, and consistency.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and define successful analytics outcomes.
  • Apply engineering best practices and standards to our analytics codebases, ensuring scalability, maintainability, and performance.
  • Train and support team members and stakeholders to use business intelligence and visualization tools.
  • Analyze workflows and collaborate with data engineers to improve performance and maintainability.
Requirements
  • Multiple years of experience working within the data space as an engineer or analyst.
  • Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills, with the ability to tackle complex problems and make informed decisions.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to build strong relationships, resolve conflicts, and convey ideas effectively.
  • Experience with data modeling, data warehousing, and business intelligence tools, including Looker.
  • Strong documentation and communication skills, with the ability to connect engineering and analytics teams.
