About the Role
As a Care Support Worker, you will be responsible for providing essential support and care to our patients, including monitoring their conditions, assisting with daily living activities, and ensuring their dignity and human rights are respected. You will work closely with our Registered Nurses and other healthcare professionals to deliver high-quality patient care and support.
Key Responsibilities
- Monitoring patients' conditions and reporting any changes to the Registered Nurse.
- Assisting patients with daily living activities, such as bathing, dressing, and toileting.
- Providing emotional support and companionship to patients and their families.
- Ensuring patients' dignity and human rights are respected at all times.
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you will need to have a minimum of 6 months' experience as a Care Support Worker in an acute hospital or hospice setting. You will also need to have a Care Certificate from an NHS Organisation and a QCF Level 2 Diploma in Healthcare Support Services issued after 2011. Additionally, you will need to have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
