About the Role
We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Collections and Conservation Assistant to join our team at Kedleston Hall. As a Collections and Conservation Assistant, you will play a crucial role in supporting the delivery of high collections care standards and inspiring visitor experiences.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in the implementation of preventive conservation plans to ensure the preservation of our collections.
- Supervise a team of Collection and Conservation Volunteers to ensure the successful execution of conservation projects.
- Support with day-to-day Hall operations, including maintaining presentation standards and ensuring the smooth running of events.
- Contribute to the development of engaging 'Conservation in Action' experiences to enrich the visitor experience.
- Collaborate with the team to deliver social media engagement and content.
Requirements
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Manual dexterity and hand-to-eye skills, with the ability to work from ladders and tower scaffold.
- Willingness to learn new skills and adapt to changing priorities.
