Industrial Equipment Maintenance Specialist

As an Industrial Equipment Maintenance Specialist, you will be integral in ensuring the operational efficiency of our production systems.
Key Responsibilities:
- Install and maintain auxiliary production equipment as required.
- Repair utility and facility-related machinery under the guidance of the Plant Engineer.
- Assist and mentor fellow maintenance staff in repairs and refurbishments.
- Work alongside cross-functional teams to proactively address and resolve issues.
- Maintain a tidy, organized, and safe working environment.
- Lead minor projects focused on equipment maintenance or enhancements.
- Comply with quality and safety standards in all tasks.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in diagnosing and repairing manufacturing machinery.
- Familiarity with PLC troubleshooting, industrial controls, and motor control systems.
- Physical capability to perform tasks such as lifting up to 50 lbs, working at heights, and bending.
- Able to work independently while managing multiple responsibilities, including rotating shifts and overtime.
Additional Duties:
- Ensure compliance with safety protocols and set a positive example.
- Identify and address safety hazards in behaviors, equipment, and processes.
- Conduct preventive maintenance and develop comprehensive procedures.
- Diagnose equipment issues and implement effective solutions.
- Communicate clearly with the operations team regarding equipment concerns.
- Document maintenance activities for historical reference and future analysis.
- Maintain exemplary housekeeping standards in work areas.
- Utilize the appropriate tools and equipment for each task.
- Perform precision welding and effectively use shop tools.
- Interpret mechanical and electrical schematics accurately.
- Enhance the reliability of equipment components.
- Develop and implement PLC programs, troubleshoot AC and DC drives/motors.
- Fabricate and install various electrical, piping, pneumatic, and mechanical systems.
