Electrical Maintenance Technician Opportunity

CBW Staffing Solutions is seeking a skilled Electrical Maintenance Technician to join our team in Glasgow. As a key member of our facilities maintenance team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of electrical systems in our social housing contract.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform routine maintenance and repairs on electrical systems to prevent faults and defects.
  • Install and certify electrical systems and equipment.
  • Operate and interrogate Building Management Systems (BMS).
  • Conduct basic building fabric repairs.
  • Ensure all relevant paperwork is completed and submitted to the contract administrator.
  • Identify and record plant failures, and provide quotations for remedial works.
  • Manage spares and provide parts lists and estimated timescales for remedial works.
  • Perform PPM tasks in accordance with the maintenance specification.
  • Attend site for breakdowns or failures outside of normal working hours.
  • Supervise and monitor sub-contractors' works.
Person Specification:
  • A recognised industry qualification and previous experience are essential.
  • QC Number and Edition 18 are required.
  • Trade qualified Electrician with at least 5 years' post-apprenticeship experience.
  • Legionella awareness and a full clean driver's licence are preferred.
  • Asbestos awareness and MEWP Licence are also preferred.
  • First aid training is desirable.
  • Computer literacy is essential.
Salary and Benefits:
  • Salary up to £38,000 (negotiable).
  • 40 hours per week, 08:00 - 17:00 Monday - Friday, with 1 hour lunch.
  • On call (average of 1 in 6).
