HGV Technician

Location: Waltham Abbey

Salary: Up to £51,051 per annum

Shift Pattern:

• DAY SHIFT - 4 on 4 off
• NIGHT SHIFT - 4 on 4 off

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated HGV Technician / HGV Mechanic / HGV Fitter to join our team at Holt Recruitment Ltd. As a leading commercial vehicle fleet company, we are committed to delivering excellence in vehicle maintenance and customer service.

Key Responsibilities:

• Routine Maintenance: Perform routine maintenance tasks on a wide range of commercial vehicles to ensure they are in good working condition.
• Diagnosis and Repairs: Diagnose and repair complex technical issues with commercial vehicles, using advanced diagnostic tools and techniques.
• Quality Control: Conduct quality control checks on all maintenance and repair work to ensure it meets our high standards.
• Documentation: Maintain accurate and detailed records of all maintenance and repair work, including vehicle history and maintenance schedules.
• Customer Service: Provide excellent customer service to our clients, responding to their needs and concerns in a professional and courteous manner.
• Team Collaboration: Work collaboratively with other technicians and support staff to achieve our team goals and objectives.

Requirements:

• Technician Qualification: Hold a recognized technician qualification, such as a City & Guilds or NVQ in commercial vehicle maintenance.
• Experience: Have a minimum of 2 years' experience in a similar role, working on commercial vehicles.
• Technical Skills: Possess advanced technical skills, including knowledge of commercial vehicle systems and components.
• Adequate Equipment: Have access to adequate equipment and tools to perform maintenance and repair tasks.
• Attention to Detail: Demonstrate a high level of attention to detail, ensuring all work is completed to a high standard.
• Team Player: Be a team player, willing to work collaboratively with others to achieve our team goals and objectives.
• Safety Awareness: Demonstrate a strong commitment to safety, adhering to all relevant health and safety procedures and guidelines.
• Flexibility: Be flexible and willing to work a variety of shifts, including day and night shifts.
