About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Education Psychologist to join our team at Connect2Hampshire. As a key member of our team, you will contribute to improving the quality of education provided by maintained schools and academies in Hampshire and the Isle of Wight for children and young people with Special Educational Needs (SEN).

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide psychological advice and support to communities, schools, parents, children, and young people.
  • Contribute to multi-agency support for children and young people.
  • Act as a consultant on psychological matters with parents, carers, teachers, and other professionals working with children and young people.
  • Work with staff in the Education and Inclusion branch to contribute to school effectiveness.
  • Prepare and maintain records.
  • Provide statutory advice to Local Authorities in accordance with the SEN Code of Practice.
  • Attend SEN and disability tribunals as required by the Local Authority.
Requirements
  • 3 years of experience as an Education Psychologist.
  • PhD/Doctorate or Masters in Educational Psychology or equivalent.
  • Ability to commit to 4 assessments per month and work until March 2025.
  • Ability to provide 2 anonymous reports for HCC to review with CV submission.
