Job Title: Mechanical Engineer

We are seeking a skilled Mechanical Engineer to join our team at Howdens Work Surfaces in Normanton, West Yorkshire. As a Mechanical Engineer, you will play a vital role in maintaining our site's equipment and ensuring smooth operations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform proactive and preventative maintenance to prevent equipment breakdowns
  • Conduct reactive breakdown maintenance to resolve issues promptly
  • Develop and implement continual improvement projects to enhance production efficiency
  • Take ownership of specific production line maintenance and develop maintenance tasks
Requirements:
  • Experience in using CNC machinery and high-volume automated manufacturing equipment
  • Knowledge of pneumatics, hydraulics, robot, and extraction systems
  • Fault finding, root-cause analysis, and corrective actions
  • Experience with computerised maintenance management systems
