Ambulance Care Assistant

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Ambulance Care Assistant to join our team at Medic 365 Limited. As an Ambulance Care Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing non-emergency patient transport services to our customers in North London.
About the RoleThis is a full-time opportunity that requires a 12-hour shift pattern, with a range of options available including standard five days per week, four-on-four-off, and seven-on-seven-off. We also consider applicants available for part-time weekend work.
Key Responsibilities- Transport patients who are medically stable but require assistance to and from their medical appointments and between healthcare facilities.
- Responsible for lifting, securing, and helping service users in and out of the ambulance, providing appropriate and necessary assistance for passengers to access the vehicles.
- Communicate with and manage patients, relatives, carers, and the public in a calm, sensitive, and professional manner.
- Ensure patient dignity and informed consent for all patient assessment and movement.
- Assist in the transportation of 'end of life' service users, ensuring a high level of empathy at all times.
- Be aware of the patient's social and environmental condition and report any Safeguarding matters to the appropriate person or body.
- Comply with cleaning protocols for vehicles, equipment, and garage to ensure company policies and regulatory requirements are met in relation to infection prevention and control standards.
