About the Role

We are seeking a Senior Innovation Manager to join our UK Strategy & Innovation team. This is a rare opportunity to be at the forefront of a strategic revolution in the UK energy market.

Key Responsibilities

  • Be the analytical, knowledge and delivery expert in your flex category, staying updated on technologies, innovations, and market trends.
  • Deliver the development and execution of a flex category such as, I&C flex, Community flex, B2C flex, heat flex, EV flex.

Definition Phase

  • Undertake quant or qual analysis to understand your flex category and inform the roadmap.
  • Prepare and support (or run) idea generation sessions on propositions for your flex category.
  • Develop and filter proposition concepts, undertaking quant and qual analysis and running experiments to form initial positions on attractiveness, viability, and feasibility of propositions and business models.
  • Define testing plans which identify our most risky and costly assumptions and address in a logical sequence of testing, to develop, adapt and strengthen the case.

Development Phase

  • Develop marketing/journeys/sales routes to market, as needed to support pilots.

Requirements

  • Experience in innovation delivery/proposition development, with a proven track record of success.
  • Strong familiarity with innovation processes, e.g. Agile Working/ Lean Start Up / Design Thinking.
  • Excellent project management skills and experience in launching products or services.
  • Proven problem-solving track record using creative and innovative approaches.
  • Strong analytical skills, commercial acumen, and attention to detail.
  • A flexible mindset, with the ability to embrace new information and the need to pivot, rather than sticking to pre-existing plans.
  • Relentless curiosity with self-drive and motivation to deliver excellent performance at pace.
