Job Title: Investigator - Protecting Vulnerable Persons

We are seeking a skilled Investigator to join our team in Lincolnshire, working on Protecting Vulnerable Persons (PVP) cases. As an Investigator, you will be responsible for conducting thorough investigations, gathering evidence, and interviewing suspects and witnesses.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct investigations into serious and complex crimes, including rape and serious sexual offenses, child and adult abuse, and child sexual exploitation.
  • Prepare and complete files in accordance with court deadlines, legislation, and force policy.
  • Respond effectively to reports of crimes, prioritizing lines of enquiry and gathering evidence.
  • Develop and record proportionate investigation plans and strategies.
  • Conduct or coordinate all aspects of the investigation process, ensuring the highest quality of service to all stakeholders.
  • Gather, develop, and use intelligence effectively to enhance investigations and inform other departments/line management of identified risks and safeguarding concerns.
  • Prepare case files within designated timescales, ensuring legislative compliance.
  • Attend court and give evidence in relation to investigations.
  • Represent the organization at multi-agency meetings and case-conferences.
Requirements:
  • P1 qualification
  • Experience of conducting serious and complex investigations.
  • Problem-solving and decision-making skills, with the ability to critically analyze material.
  • Previous experience of working in a customer-focused environment.
  • Previous experience of working with confidential/sensitive material.
  • Sound knowledge of IT skills, including Microsoft, Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Ability to review and present information with accuracy and clear attention to detail.
  • Preparedness to undergo Management Vetting and drug screening.
  • Ability to travel within Lincolnshire or wider, with a full UK driving license.

We offer a competitive rate of £16.46 per hour PAYE and £21.31 per hour Umbrella, with a 12-month contract and possible extension. If you are a skilled Investigator looking for a challenging role, please apply.
