Job Title: Senior Clinical Systems Support Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Clinical Systems Support Specialist to join our team at County Durham and Darlington NHS Foundation Trust. As a key member of our Systems team, you will play a vital role in providing technical administration, configuration/development, and support for our Clinical IT systems.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Provide technical support and maintenance for our Clinical IT systems, ensuring their reliable operation and optimal performance.
  • Collaborate with our IT teams and end-users to identify and resolve technical issues, improving the overall quality of patient care.
  • Develop and maintain policies and procedural system documentation, ensuring compliance with Trust standards.
  • Administer and enhance systems and operations, monitoring error logs and statistics to take corrective actions.
  • Update and configure systems in a timely and accurate manner, maintaining system software and hardware.
Requirements:
  • Degree-level qualification or substantial experience in a technical support environment, with evidence of continued professional development.
  • Experience of maintaining and supporting computer systems and applications, with a strong understanding of data analysis techniques and tools.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively as part of a team and under own initiative.
  • Ability to analyse complex technical information and communicate it to staff at all levels, both specialists and non-specialists.
Desirable Skills and Knowledge:
  • ITIL Foundation Certificate in IT Service Management.
  • Customer Service Qualifications or training.
  • Experience of healthcare environments and systems development environments.
Working Arrangements:

We offer flexible/hybrid working arrangements, with the ability to be based at one of several sites across County Durham, including locations in Darlington, Annfield Plain, and Peterlee.
