About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Molecular Biologist to lead our NGS Product Development Team in Manchester. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing scientific expertise and technical leadership to ensure the successful development and delivery of our NGS products.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide scientific input and expertise on NGS projects, ensuring that our products meet the highest standards of quality and performance.
  • Lead and manage a team of scientists to progress projects through the product lifecycle, ensuring timely delivery and effective resource allocation.
  • Plan and report on project deliverables, ensuring that activities are carried out to schedule and that resources are allocated efficiently.
  • Develop and optimize assays and workflows to ensure successful product transfer to operations and technical support.
  • Oversee system integration activities to ensure seamless integration of our NGS technologies.
Requirements
  • BSc or higher degree in Molecular Biology or a related discipline.
  • Minimum 5 years' experience working with NGS technologies, preferably spanning short and long read platforms.
  • Expertise in development, verification, and validation of NGS technologies and molecular diagnostic assays.
  • Ability to lead and mentor teams or scientists in a fast-paced environment.
