Role Summary

As a key member of our team, reporting directly to the Transport Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing transport contracts and delivery processes, ensuring high service levels for shipments via courier and parcel networks. Your role will involve transport planning and the analysis of logistics data to enhance our supply chain operations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with Procurement to manage operational contracts, costs, and service performance for all courier agreements within Aliaxis UK.
  • Coordinate courier operations in conjunction with the Transport Manager to fulfill customer requirements.
  • Utilize planning systems, Excel, and MS Office to develop transport schedules, reports, and manage administrative tasks.
  • Ensure efficient access to Proof of Delivery (POD) data for internal stakeholders.
  • Establish and maintain comprehensive KPIs to monitor partner service levels, integrating with broader Supply Chain and Commercial functions.
  • Oversee logistics, including route planning and vehicle assignments.
  • Assess carrier performance, identifying improvement opportunities and proposing enhancement strategies.

Qualifications

  • Experience in a manufacturing setting with a strong logistics data process in an SME or larger organization, particularly with oversight of 3PL contracts.
  • Proven track record of driving improvements in 3PL logistics operations across multiple sites and suppliers.
  • Strong analytical skills with proficiency in ERP, WMS, and MRP systems, alongside Excel, Access, and Power BI for process automation and reporting.
  • Familiarity with MS Dynamics AX is desirable.
