Outpatient Department Receptionist

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Receptionist to join our Outpatient Department at Barts Health NHS Trust. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing an efficient and effective service to patients, ensuring a positive experience from the moment they arrive.
Main Duties and ResponsibilitiesThe successful candidate will be responsible for:
- Welcoming patients and providing a warm and friendly service
- Checking in and checking out patients, ensuring accurate and efficient processing
- Managing patient demographics and updating records as necessary
- Handling phone calls and responding to patient queries
- Booking future appointments and managing the patient schedule
- Working collaboratively with the clinical team to ensure seamless patient care
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work well under pressure and manage multiple tasks simultaneously
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Experience working in a healthcare setting, preferably in an outpatient environment
- Knowledge of patient administration systems, such as CRS
- GCSEs or equivalent in English and maths
