About the Role

We are seeking a skilled and experienced MEWPS Engineer to join our team at AFI Group of Companies. As a MEWPS Engineer, you will play a crucial role in supporting the smooth operation of our hire rental fleet, ensuring that our equipment is well-maintained and available for our customers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Carry out pre-delivery inspections (PDIs), services, LOLER inspections, repairs, and manufacturer updates to maintain the corporate image of our fleet of rental machines.
  • Attend breakdowns on customer sites and provide prompt and effective solutions.
  • Accurately record all necessary checks using a company-issued PDA, following company procedure at all times.
  • Communicate effectively with the engineering team and hire office to ensure maximum machine availability.
Requirements
  • Hold an engineering qualification (ideally in plant maintenance) - minimum NVQ level 2 or equivalent.
  • Valid IPAF Operator licence/certification is required.
