Deputy Manager - The Lighthouse Children's Home

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Deputy Manager to join our team at The Lighthouse Children's Home in Surbiton. As a Deputy Manager, you will play a vital role in supporting our Manager in leading our successful team and maintaining our high standards of care.

The Lighthouse Children's Home provides care for children with autism and learning disabilities, and we are committed to creating a safe and supportive environment for our young people. As a Deputy Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the home, ensuring the highest standards of care, and supporting our young people to achieve their goals.

We are looking for someone with a Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare or equivalent, and a minimum of 2 years' experience working as a Deputy/Senior in residential care. You will also need excellent written and spoken English, good IT skills, and the ability to lead a team and work as part of a team.

As a Deputy Manager at The Lighthouse Children's Home, you will have the opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of our young people. We offer a competitive salary of £34,000 +, and the opportunity to work in a dynamic and supportive environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Team Leading
  • Shift Leading
  • Supporting the Manager to run a successful staff team and all day-to-day operations of the home
  • Ensuring the highest standards of care in relation to the children's physical, behavioural, and emotional needs
  • Supporting young people to do their favourite things and try new activities at home and also outdoor activities
