We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Electrical Project Engineer to join our team at 1st Step Solutions. As a Senior Electrical Project Engineer, you will be responsible for delivering the electrical elements of commercial projects, working closely with our project managers and clients to ensure successful project outcomes.
Key Responsibilities- Attend and host team meetings to ensure effective communication and project progress.
- Lead and issue meeting notes for technical and progress workshop meetings to facilitate collaboration and decision-making.
- Review tender information, including design drawings, specifications, and equipment schedules, to ensure compliance and accuracy.
- Deliver design and working drawings necessary to complete projects, capturing additional costs and programme delays caused by external influences.
- Produce and technically check technical submissions against specifications and ER documents to ensure quality and compliance.
- Develop commissioning strategies for installations and manage procurement, value engineering, and better buying against tender allowances.
- Programme works and sub-contract packages, producing and managing programmes to ensure timely completion.
- Report project progress to project managers and manage installation and commissioning activities of assigned packages.
- Ensure handover documentation, including record drawings, test, and commission, is completed accurately.
- Advise project managers and QS of variation costs and maintain cost control, liaising with project surveyors to assist with monthly PFR reports.
- Ensure quality control and risk control, including programme and commercial risks.
- HNC/HNC in Building Services Engineering or similar.
- CSCS/SMSTS certification.
- Experience working at a senior level on M&E projects, with responsibility for full contract management.
- Ability to accept responsibilities and accomplish project objectives in a timely manner.
- Good computer skills, especially with Microsoft Office.
- Awareness of health and safety requirements and the continual assessment/control of risk.
- Ability to actively contribute to the team (internal and client team).
