We are currently seeking a skilled professional to join our client's engineering team on a permanent basis.
Main Responsibilities:
The successful candidate will be responsible for manufacturing press tools, jigs and fixtures, carrying out repairs and maintenance of press tools, jigs, fixtures and gauges, as well as supporting production machining requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manufacture press tools, jigs and fixtures
- Carry out repairs and maintenance of press tools, jigs, fixtures and gauges
- Support production machining requirements
- Assist with New Product Introduction & Development Processes related to tooling design and manufacturing
- Set up machines with the required work holding and tooling
Key Requirements:
The ideal candidate will have experience in a similar manufacturing environment, with a strong background in manual milling, turning, CNC and/or grinding.
- Experience in Automotive / Aerospace / Defence / Power / Oil & Gas or similar manufacturing environment
- Manual Milling, Turning, CNC and/or Grinding experience
- Experience of manufacturing, repairing and maintaining tooling - press tools, laser tools, hand tools etc
- Benchwork skills - fettling / finishing / deburring / countersinking / grinding / cutting / sanding etc
- Hands on approach - able to implement solutions to avoid recurring problems & confidence in supporting with production tooling issues
