About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Chef de Partie to join our culinary team at Watergate Bay Hotel. As a key member of our kitchen team, you will be responsible for assisting the Executive Chef and Head Chef in the effective and efficient organisation, supervision, and control of the kitchen operation.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Assisting in the preparation, cooking, and portioning of all food dishes to the hotel's standards of quality and quantity.
  • Maintaining the hotel's standards of department and personal appearance, cleanliness, and hygiene of the kitchen areas.
  • Complying with all instructions given by the immediate supervisor.
  • Preparing for the day's business in accordance with projected need.
  • Following all schedules within the kitchen and completing daily check sheets and temperature logs.
  • Assisting colleagues in stocking up when necessary.
  • Ensuring the smooth running of all aspects of the kitchen and back of house areas.
  • Responsible for undertaking the many tasks during the preparation, storage, and service of food and other associated tasks.
  • Maintaining a high level of personal hygiene and cleanliness while in the workplace.
  • Maintaining an organised, clean, and safe workplace, not only for yourself but also for those around.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A Food Hygiene certificate.
  • A flexible attitude to working hours and variable shift patterns.
  • An interest and passion for the food industry.
  • NVQ level 1&2 or equivalent as a minimum.
  • Excellent team player skills.
  • Guest service-focused.
  • Calm under extreme pressure.
  • Responsible and keen to develop and eager to learn.
  • Professional personal presentation.
